And now the end is near... At the end of this month I'll be moving on from The Great Gatsby to new opportunities. It's been the most enjoyable journey for both the project and myself and Nick is a role I'll always look back on with a great fondness.

I'm just in the Nick of time to tell you that I'm pleased to announce Gatsby is extending in London and I'm delighted to say I'll be continuing in the role of Carraway. The production is also opening in Belgium and has just finished it Sold Out run in Ireland.

I'm returning to the Great Gatsby as Nick Carraway but this time I'll be performing for Theatre Clyde in a venue in Mold and at The Square Chapel in Halifax. So exciting to catch up once again with this superb project which I was privileged to help create.

I begin rehearsals for Great Expectations at Derby Theatre directed by Artistic director Sarah Brigham. I'll be playing Uncle Pumblechook and Bentley Drummle, two characters from the nastier side of the spectrum. One a puffed up windbag with a mouth like a fish, the other a self important aristocratic popinjay. Can't wait.

The delightful surroundings of Castle Howard gardens in Yorkshire were my surroundings for a promenade adventure with outdoor arts company Rusticus. Telling tales of Myths and legends in a tasteful toga.

Working with Rich Seam Theatre and John R Wilkinson on R&D for Saucy: A Risque Story. It's a hilarious look at the social impact of Bamforth's Seaside postcards written by the superb Nick Lane.

Reprised the role of Nick Carraway that I created for The Guild of Misrule's immersive version of F.Scott Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby'. A fantastic experience to be part of once more and it was once again recieved well by public and press.

Filmed 'In the Dark' for BBC. I'm a pub regular who takes offence at city folk coming into his local with their 'la de da' ways.
Played the part of Prospero in 'The Tempest' for The Flanagan Collective. An Outdoor promenade production of Shakespeare's magical masterpiece, it was a real treat to be a part of and having a chorus of sheep echoing your "Ye Elves" speech one sun drenched summer evening is a memory I'll treasure.

I was privileged enough to join the cast of 'The Railway Children' at the beautiful Signal Box Theatre based at the National Railway Museum. I took on the role of the 'Old Gentleman' and with the help of a bit of white in the beard and a twizzle or two of the moustache, I became part of one of the most fabulous and innovative productions. How many times can you say that a co-star was a real working staem engine that joined you onstage? Magical.

I'm returning to Hull Truck this Christmas for Cinderella. Not as a Wolf this time, but a Rat! Written by Mike Kenny, this version is told from the point of view of the vermin who share the servants quarters with Cinderella. I don't stay ratty for long though as I transform into the ugliest sister you've ever seen. There's something to put you off your Turkey!

'Three Last Letters' is a semi improvised digital opera composed by Craig Vear and based on the final moments of Scott's fateful expedition to the Arctic. Performed by three musicians and three voices, it is a emotive piece I am privileged to be part of. I got the chance to reprise my role as Lt Bowers recently at a Late Music concert in York. Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Not me as I'll be playing the greatest villain of all Fairytales at Hull Truck Theatre this Christmas in 'Little Red Riding Hood'
Really happy than to announce that I'm going to be continuing my Summer at York Theatre Royal in Juliet Forster's Main House production of 'See How They Run' by Philip King. A classic 1940's farce, this production involves mistaken identity, unexpected entrances and exits and four men dressed as Vicars! Splendid stuff!

Improvisation and script development of 'Escaping Alice' by Matthew Pegg, a new play which premieres at York Theatre Royal in Autumn. A surreal descent into the mind of a man ditched by his life's love. Suprisingly enough it's jolly funny!
Continued my work in sound and performance with Craig Vear by portraying Lt. Bowers in 'Three Last Letters, a memorial to Capt. Scott, Dr Wilson and Lt. Bowers' at the Vale of Glamorgan Festival, Wales. An immersive audio piece created from the last letters written by the ill fated men as they faced death in cold of the Antarctic. A truly moving experience.

Coming to the end of my involvement in York Theatre Royals Ensemble Season. It has been a wonderful opportunity to discover what a repertory company feels like. 'My Family and other Animals' and 'Two Planks and a Passion' were each a real pleasure.

Rehearsed readings with Pilot Theatre as part of the Pan European Platform 11+ project. Also devised an interactive guided walk around York dressed as Dick Turpin. I am now a font of fascinating facts!

Coming to the end of my involvement in York Theatre Royals Ensemble Season. It has been a wonderful opportunity to discover what a repertory company feels like. 'My Family and other Animals' and 'Two Planks and a Passion' were each a real pleasure.
